Dr. Jones is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports injuries and surgery of the knee and shoulder. His international training covered minimally invasive surgery, joint replacement, fracture care and the management of arthritis.

Training
Dr. Jones completed his sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he served as assistant team physician to the New York Jets and New York Islanders. He then trained in complex shoulder surgery with the world-renowned shoulder surgeon Pascal Boileau at L'Archet 2 Hospital in Nice, France.
His training gave him extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow, and in joint replacement of the knee and shoulder, including partial knee replacement and reverse total shoulder replacement.
A native of East Tennessee, he graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, attended medical school at East Tennessee State University, and completed his orthopaedic residency at SUNY Stony Brook in New York.
Research and memberships
Dr. Jones has authored numerous orthopaedic publications, and received the fellowship award for most outstanding original research. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Outside the clinic
Dr. Jones lives in Nashville with his wife, Brittany. He ran cross-country and wrestled in high school and college, and still runs, bikes, plays basketball and golf, fishes and competes in triathlons.
He has graduated from advanced Spanish language schools in Spain and Argentina, and has taken part in medical missions in Honduras, Peru and Mexico. He works closely with the medical division of CrossRoads Missions, based in Louisville, Kentucky.
